Detectable radiation from Japan has crossed the Pacific Ocean and is now being detected on the . . .
. . . West Coast.

Here is an article from the Orange County Register. I used that because OC is not a bastion of liberalism.

http://www.ocregister.com/news/levels-293748-coast-epa.html

True enough, the levels are low.

Low or not, the radiation is there.

Nuclear apologists have all been given lots of radio and teevee airtime today, it seems to me, telling us that it ain't so bad and that it will never get to Chernobyl levels.

Isn't that rich?

Not as bad as Chernobyl is now the good news.

4. I bet if I said it was dark, you'd tell me its light. If I said it was hot, you'd tell me its cold.
If I said it was east, you'd tell me its west. But if I said it was west, then you'd tell me its east.

Do have a swell day. :hi:

6. Except in this case I am agreeing with you.
Edited on Fri Mar-25-11 07:22 PM by uppityperson
the asinine part is towards those who are saying there is no problem.

Maybe you missed that I am agreeing and quoting you in agreement? Sorry if I wasn't clear but am in agreement. Not sure why you object.

Have a swell evening yourself.

5. I've been wondering if I should stock up on my favorite wines...
most from CA, a case wouldn't be enough, 2 or 3 or 10? I'm not kidding, perhaps I should try to grow grapes and make my own.

I feel so bad for the people of Japan...supposedly not as bad as Chernobyl isn't anything to crow about, when others are saying it is worse. Either way it isn't good...

All the wine is already bottled, and the vines are still dormant this year. So buy up that wine.

24. I wouldn't trust any information the EPA feeds you. Remember ground zero
and the toxicity they covered up. No government agencies are to be trusted. IMCPO.

15. If anything ever proved Bob Marley right, it's this.
"The rain don't fall on one man's roof."

And that it should fall on the richie richs' county, well that is rich!

We may learn what a common mutant puker looks like! Will the radiation swirl around the Crystal Cathedral with what's his name in it? That would be even richer...sort of like God smiting him.

I am sorry for the Earth and the 4 leggeds, the winged ones, the ones that crawl and the ones that creep; the innocents and even the fools who cheered this way of powering the civilization. But damn, sometimes schadenfreude feels so good.
