I didn't.

It isn't at all clear who will be running against Macacca. Could be former governor, friend of Barack, and current DNC chair Tim Kaine

2. Yeah, I knew, but I live here and Jim Webb has been a friend for around 30 years.

I also think Tim Kaine can defeat Macaca Man.

5. He fucking HATES fund-raising. He likes getting things done, but he's not a schmoozer.
Also, he is at heart an artist, a man of letters, and I think he really misses having the time to write.

6. Heh! That makes sense . . .
I seem to recall that Mudcat Saunders, among others, doing a great deal of front work for him.

7. Yeah, I met Dave Saunders at a Webb campaign event here in NOVA back in 2006.
I liked him, but what I felt he failed to grasp was the fact that Jim would ALWAYS do what he felt was right; and he didn't really care whether he pissed off a bunch of blue-dog Dems, or us Northern Virginia liberals. I don't always agree with him politically, but he's one of the best men I have ever met.
