went to an UNCUT demo today

My first one with this group - love the chants:
"Budget crisis. What's the Solution. World wide revolution"

"Deficit? Tax tax tax the rich"

In front of Bank of America. Anyone who wanted to went up to the mike and spoke, or led a chant.

2 cops came to tell us to keep a path on the sidewalk for pedestrians. (which we were already doing of course), and one gave us a thumbs up!

Guess he's thinking about his pension and benefits.....

6. we were about 25-30. The group is international

it is in UK and here, don't know if any other countries, don't know how big nationally or internationally.
I'm not really involved in it, just went to this demo.

This is the group in the UK that successfully did some flashmob action on vodafone, right?

8. Yes it is the same group.

I don't know much about the vodafone action, but there is a video online of an action they did at a bank in the UK. They entered the bank in droves, and set up a day care center, a class for tots, a clinic - to show what the money that went to bailout banks could have/should have been used for.

I think here anyone would be arrested very quickly but they managed to stay there quite a while - very creative.

9. Here are pictures of the UK action

Activists stormed more than 40 banks across Britain in protest over
executive bonuses and public service cuts - and turned them into a
variety of ad hoc walk-in centres.
UK Uncut said demonstrators set up creches, laundries, school
classrooms, libraries, homeless shelters, drama clubs, walk-in
clinics, youth centres, job centres and leisure centres at branches of
RBS, NatWest and Lloyds.
