12. No kidding - the ones that many of us get outraged about and spend |
|
threads and threads proclaiming our fury, then, oops - not even true. I get sucked into those too often.

20. There were two fantastic examples yesterday ... |
|
The original thread about Glen Greenwald's Salon article, where he reported that a Bush-era torturer psychologist was the newest WH appointment, and the thread about radiation at Daiichi being 10 million times normal.
Both were later shown to be wrong. Dr. James was never appointed to a White House task force, and TEPCO later confirmed that the radiation spike was a measuring error. But both of the original threads were wildly active, garnering huge recs without much skepticism being shown at all.
Hopefully, we can learn to take everything we read with a grain of salt, and seek confirmation again and again before going off half-cocked.

10. Other: I'm just hoping for a Boojatta/RBTexLA dialog; in fact, I'm saving my pennies |

for popcorn, ice cold sodas, and a snuggly new blanket for my friends to all cuddle under when it happens.
It just has to, somehow--the fates are willing it.
