I love the winning photos, all.

Pont Neuf for the perfection of depicting the theme in a clever and beautiful way.

Ageing wins my heart this time, every time I look at it it becomes more deep and meaningful.

Concentric is peaceful and lovely and really makes you "feel" the circles.

And I appreciate that someone in the last minute broke the tie my little squirrel was in with Concentric, because, though cute, he could not hold a candle to that photograph.

It was a fun contest this month, hosted magnificently by Solly Mack, who deserves huge cudos for attentiveness and enthusiasm.

My rough draft had the 2 of you as a tie and then I checked again after the thread was locked and had to change it. I just knew the contest would end with 2 ties. It just seemed fitting considering the earlier tie.

he spent some time yesterday just taking pictures of tree stumps during our walk along the horse trail yesterday.

Truly a winner, your photo.

Well, I had a lot of material because tree stumps surround all the lakes in the park, to keep cars from rolling in them. So I just looked at the top of one of these and thought it looked a bit interesting and tried to get an angle on it. Here is one of my favorite photos of these because it was an extraordinarily hot day, and the ducks were using the shadows of these tree stumps to cool off. I am not claiming this is an attractive photo, but I thought it was somewhat interesting. I probably should have entered this one in the "shadow" contest-- anyway, you get an idea of the abundance of tree stumps around. They must number in the thousands, or at least several hundred. Goes to show that there is a photo opportunity where you least expect it.
