I was curious how you ranked these senators, one to three, in terms of being best (least bad?) for the prgressive cause and the nation.

Rememember Lieberman and Murkowski are indys who got elected on their own. Nelson and I assume you mean Ben because Bill Nelson votes decently for a purple state Democratic senator...

I have never voted for him but the repugs in NE keep electing him. He is more repug than Democrat

Murkowski did a hell of a GOOD job during the lame duck.
But we will have to wait to see what she does in 2011.

Lieberman's slimy, but he comes through on social issues.
Murkowski isn't pretending to be anything she isn't.
Nelson is rotten to the core.

11. Murkowski is a Republican through and through

Ben Nelson, whom I believe you are referring to is a Republican most of the time but will occasionally vote Democratic. Lieberman is the most Democratic of the three but he still sucks. I would put Blanche Lincoln ahead of him as far as voting with Republicans but she is no longer a Senator..
