Radio Active Clouds /Jetstream/ Northern Hemisphere - Monitor live..
USA / EU Radiation and Jetstream Forecast (MOST Informative site)

http://www.woweather.com/weather/news/fukushima?VAR=zam...

If you live in the areas (west coast USA, Canada, Mexico, and also MIDWEST US)... pay close attention.. may not want to go outside during this time....

the radiation flow, forecast and shown by these several models...

<snip> Potential dispersion of the radioactive cloud over The Northern Hemisphere
This animation displays a potential dispersion of the radioactive cloud (Caesium 137 Isotope) after a nuclear accident in reactor Fukushima I. The continuous release rate is very uncertain, thus the calculations have to be interpreted qualitatively. Dispersion in the near surface level (Level 1), in appr. 2500 m height (Level 12) and in appr. 5000 m height (Level 16).

You will see what I posted below, on the right of your screen on this site..click on each for info on flow,etc..)

http://www.woweather.com/weather/news/fukushima?LANG=us&VAR=niluhemis131&HH=0 (Northern Hemisphere)

http://www.woweather.com/weather/news/fukushima?VAR=nilujapan131 (CLOUD SPEED)

http://www.woweather.com/weather/news/fukushima?LANG=us&VAR=niludmanc131&HH=0 (USA)

tells the tale of the isotopes coming our way... .. it will be up to you to decide if you should go outside during the time these clouds are over the USA, Canada, and Mexico...

I hope you find this useful~ (((REPOST from yesterday in light of current changes))

2. above the pics are check boxes for the different days, location map,
and choice of 3 different radioactive materials.
Just click what day you want to measure.

1. It s in the air like a very large very noxious fart...
Staing inside is not more help than putting your head under the blanket.

In fact, it could be a problem because 1 in 15 homes has elevated levels of Radon inside the house. Unless you own a fallout shelter with an independent supply of air, that is not a lot you can do.

You breath in the air, it's there.
You drink milk supplied by cows who eat grass that concentrats the stuff in the air, it's there.

The best chance you have of avoiding it is to:
(1) Stop eathing.
(2) Stop drinking.
(3) Stop breathing.

4. Yup. Besides which, most of us don't have the luxury to plan
whether or not we can leave the house on a minute-to-minute basis. For f*ck's sake. Let's keep some perspective on things.

5. What is the difference between "potential dispersion" and
ACTUAL dispersion?

and the radon i have been exposed to over my lifetime. i doubt anyone will die in the usa over the amount of release from the nuke plant in japan

9. If you live on the West Coast and want daily readings rather than
'projections' the State of Oregon's website serves them up to you. : http://public.health.oregon.gov/Preparedness/CurrentHazards/Pages/DailyAirMonitoring.aspx

10. I sometimes wonder if the people who pooh-pooh "the chances" of west coasters dying from
Japan's horrendous nuclear disaster themselves live on the east coast or are heavily invested in nuke energy. The callousness of their remarks bothers me.

I don't like people downplaying the risk to my life (west coaster), the lives of my love ones, especially the children, the lives of other west coasters and Pacific Rim inhabitants, and the life of the Pacific Ocean, including Dolphins and Whales, already so threatened by humanity's thoughtless pollution.

This is a very, very, VERY horrible nuclear disaster. Greenpeace has already designated it a Level 8 nuclear disaster (beyond Chernobyl). Western government agencies are more cautious but even they are saying it's a Level 6 (beyond 3 Mile Island) on its way to Level 7 (Chernobyl). But Chernobyl was only ONE reactor. Japan has SIX reactors and SIX dangerous "spent fuel" tanks, all packed together at one site, in various states of damage, failure and leakage, with ALL safety systems having been blown to hell by the huge tsunami that hit the nuclear plant. And we simply don't know what this may mean as to radioactive death clouds hiking the jet stream to Pacific fisheries and Pacific Rim countries. If Fukushima catches fire (a real danger) and it can't be controlled, all the nuclear material at all of these plants could hit the atmosphere. As Fukushima officials keep pouring water on these extremely dangerous, hot materials, to prevent fire, the irradiated steam rises into the atmosphere--radiation that has already been detected in California--and the cooling water seeps where? Into the water table and into the ocean. Fukushima workers have already died trying to prevent the worst--meltdowns and out of control fire. More will die from radiation poisoning or long term health impacts (early deaths from cancer). Local residents have already suffered toxic levels of radiation.

This disaster WILL end up making parts of Japan uninhabitable and swaths of its coast unfishable. We just don't know yet how big those poisoned areas will be. Hundreds of miles, for sure. And it could get even worse. And we don't know what the total toxic load will be beyond those utterly ruined places in Japan.

So, for anyone to say to those downwind of this disaster, "Stop worrying," is bad advice, besides being cruel. And we should be discussing how we can STOP adding this horrible stuff--man-made nuclear material--to our planet's fragile life sphere. We should not be dismissing peoples' concerns but mobilizing people to create a sane energy policy. The way decisions are made now--for the profit of the few, on the basis of corrupt lobbying--is nuts. That is why Japan is in the horrible situation that it is in now--and that many others may be affected by--because of corrupt decision making.
