Politically charged Ohio referendum is next; could affect 2012 election
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio House could vote this week on a controversial collective bargaining bill that will set up a politically charged voter referendum that could linger into next year's presidential election.

Senate Bill 5 sharply restricts collective bargaining rights, ends binding arbitration and bans worker strikes for all state and local public employees -- including safety forces -- and is backed by Republican Gov. John Kasich and most of the GOP-controlled state legislature. The bill narrowly cleared the Senate earlier this month, and on Tuesday, a House committee has scheduled a vote to send the measure to the floor.

5. Don't forget
You need to count those who DIDN'T vote also! I read Ohio turnout was only something like 45-50 percent. I think a lot of states that are now run by republicans had the same kind of low turnout! One needs to remember that not voting is pretty much giving away your vote to the other candidate, republicans!

In Washington state over a half million people that voted in 2008 didn't bother to vote in 2010. We didn't have a governors race so we still have a democrat, and Patty Murray won her senate seat, but not buy much. I guess we got lucky, to bad so many other states didn't get that lucky!

7. No, the tip one way or another are always the softheads who can't make up their minds and stay home.
A relative few of them can turn an election.
