TSA Continuing to Wantonly Grope People
TSA Continuing to Wantonly Grope People

A Brooklyn woman told the Post she was inappropriately patted down at LaGuardia. You're thinking: welcome to the club, sweetie! But this is unusual because she had already cleared security. A female agent stopped her on the way to her gate and gave her a three-minute frisking, involving a lot of manhandling of the breasts, crotch, and inner thigh.

Nancy Campbell, 33, was told that if she didn't submit to the pat down she wouldn't be allowed to fly: When she balked, the agent told her "You can either continue on flailing about, or you can let me do my job. If you don't, you can't fly." Apparently Campbell got on her flight in tears

2. I wonder if, in a few years, this behavior by the TSA will be considered
amazingly kind, and that some will express gratitude toward their compassionate handlers?

3. I would pay
for three-minute of frisking, involving a lot of manhandling of the breasts, crotch, and inner thigh.

4. I went through JFK this morning

Nothing had changed. No full body scanner or pat downs, but neither I nor anyone in front of me set off any of the buzzers. They did seem to take more time examing the carry ons, but that was about it.

My husband flew from LaGuardia last month. However, he has had hip replacement, so he told them so before he set off any buzzers. He said they did put in an full body scanner when he told them that.

5. This isn't going to stop until enough economic pressure is applied to the airlines
If enough people stop flying because of these excesses, I guarantee you the power elite will force the government and TSA to back down. After all, as we've seen time and again, profits over all.

6. I think the "jokes" have run their course, myself....
I'm all for "dark humor" and I'm not attempting to call out those who joke about the desirability of being groped. But, to me, this is simply damned depressing, given it marks a hallmark in our loss of common sense and civil rights under the guise of "security." To laugh at that, is to acquiesce IMHO.

9. K&R for THIS reader's response:
"I think its going to get a lot worse. In fact TSA has only moved into one direction. Virtually each incident is worse than the last.

At the current rate of decline, within a decade people will be enduring cavity searches. TSA will eventually be armed and the TSA abuse stories of today will eventually be stories of passengers being shot or tazzed.

Think that is to extreme? Well 10 years ago, who could have imagined that people would be routinely irradiated, have their genitals groped, and be the subject of police brutality for refusing such?

TSA and DHS is leading this country into fascism.

We don't need terrorists. TSA/DHS is terrorizing America in a way that an Al Qaeda never could."
