2. My friend, Frank, was lost to that disaster
Died of cancer at 23 years old. :cry:

4. Lived nearby. Both his parents died of cancers within 2 years.
He lived almost 4 years after exposure. TMI killed the whole family.

5. I'm sorry for your loss.
I recently started a project with a young man whose father was then a PA state trooper. He was assigned to go house to house warning people of the disaster. He continued to patrol the area close to the plant. He and his family still live in the area.

I didn't ask the young man about cancer, but given that his mom and dad are still alive, I can only assume not.

It is amazing how capricious some things can be.
