Sleight-of-hand, critical thinking and the Republican tactics in Wisconsin.

<snip>

The recent procedural blunders and constitutional infringements committed by many members of the Republican legislature and executive offices have left many Wisconsinites reeling. What started out as a few infractions has turned into a blatant political over-reach in which the many injustices have become so diverse and widespread that citizens are overwhelmed.

With all of these things going on, it is nearly impossible to not get distracted and to keep sight of a bigger picture. Each of the issues I listed above could effectively keep someone occupied for weeks. But I think that is what Republican leaders are counting on – that people will continue to be lost in the fray – and that the GOP will be able to catch us off guard.

This happened recently when Republicans circumvented a court order by a circuit court judge, which issued an injunction against the publication of the Anti-Union Law. No one expected this law to be published on Friday, March 25th.
