How a Small Wyoming Town Might Be the First to Prove its Water Damaged by Natural Gas Production |
|
Despite the testimonies of the people living by gas drilling, the companies have yet to be held accountable for damages. That might change. http://www.alternet.org/water/150379/how_a_small_wyoming_town_might_be_the_first_to_prove_its_water_damaged_by_natural_gas_production

I was always able to set my water on fire. Its a great conversation starter. PA is such a pro-mining/resource extraction state that there won't be any consequences to the drilling companies until its too late, even if then. These companies are taking advantage of the lack of a complete understanding about the behavior of groundwater and the hunger for "domestic" sources of energy. If you live in PA be prepared for the argument that they are drilling in the deep aquifer while you are drinking from a shallow aquifer and the two never meet!
