If you must drive, thank a bicycle commuter, transit user and a pedestrian |

they make your roads less crowded.
by not contributing to pollution, they reduce the restrictions that would be placed on your car otherwise.
by not using as much gas, they reduce demand and the price of gas you would pay at the pump otherwise.
they reduce demand for parking in the crowded places you go.
the reality is that though to some drivers, pedestrians, cyclists and (apparently) slow buses and passing trains seem to slow you down as a driver --the reality is that these other modes of transportation save you the driver time and money.
so when you see a person walking, riding a bike or a bus passing, think about how much more it would slow you down if each and every person you see were driving and parking their own vehicle.
