What should I do about Al-Jazeera?
A month ago, people here said I should watch Al-Jazeera rather than American cable news to keep up on events in the Middle East.

Today, I'm watching Al-Jazeera's coverage of the fighting in Libya, but now people here are saying the critical reporting on the Gadaffi regime amounts to "western propaganda".

So which is it?

3. The truth is nobody knows what's really going on in Libya
So the media, whether Al Jazzera or FOX just sits around making up what-if scenarios

Old journalism trick

8. Watch from multiple sources and ignore what people here are saying.
They are just telling you what to think. Think for yourself.

9. Ignore the "people here" and watch news that is actually being reported.
And reports that are actually news.
