Poll question: How do you feel about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights?
Edited on Mon Mar-28-11 05:15 PM by Boojatta
Do you support the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, do you oppose it, or are you neutral with respect to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights?

1. You (we) can declare anything we want...
it doesn't mean anything will change.

6. That reminds me....
I was thinking of issuing a "Universal Declaration of Cid_B got some new tires and a lift for his jeep"

Think it will work?

9. It might work, depending on your marketing strategy.
For example, see the Million Dollar Homepage:

2. Support/Oppose conceptually, or what?
It's a lovely statement of ambition, sure.

Yes, that means you. You are reading this right now, aren't you? Don't bother to deny it. Instead, go ahead and vote in the poll.

5. By "this one", do you mean this thread, or this Universal Declaration of Human Rights?

7. It only works if you enforce it across the board. You can't pick and choose the battles. You
have to either fully support and say we are willing to bomb any country that doesn't agree or we ignore the whole damn thing. Instead we take a wishy washy approach and it ends up being meaningless.

8. It's impractical and could never be enforced. Useless as policy, but a happy thought.
I would expect all the letter (i)s to be dotted with hearts. I imagine a committee sitting around a big table snapping their gum and twirling their hair around their index fingers while they wrote it.

10. Only problem is it's universal like the Catholic Church is catholic.
