I'd vote for her. She'd never win, but I'd vote!

7. Indeed but in some ways she would be wasted that way |
|
She is far too keen to be wasted doing the work of the empire even if it is trying to stir it towards a saner course.

9. You remind me of those on the Right who say the same about Palin. |
|
Although you might be correct.

13. Are you REALLY comparing a multiple community college dropout |
|
to someone who had a Bachelors Degree in Public Policy from Stanford AND a doctorate in Political Science from Oxford on a RHODES SCHOLARSHIP????
Give me a fucking break. Rachel is probably more qualified to be a politician than the majority of politicians in DC.

8. I'm of a different viewpoint. I was disappointed in not hearing the President |
|
name the Arab allies as he enumerated other allies.
I think we're being set up for a long participation, i.e. waiting for Gadhafi to step down. Waiting, rather than going after Gadhafi specifically, would be less expensive, in the President's eyes. I was surprised he didn't use the 'we don't do regime change' meme.
The President could have made me feel better had he given a clear picture of what the rebels want once Gadhafi leaves. Well, time will tell.

10. Why is forced regime change not applicable to... |
|
Yemen, Syria, Bahrain, Morocco, Iran, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia? After all these are not governed by democratic regimes? I am against the blatant hypocrisy in foreign policy and wars!

12. The countries you mention either have no oil or their dictators play nice with the oil companies. |
|
Saddam had to go because he wasn't cooperating with OPEC, and Gadhafi has tried to make independent deals. Afghanistan wanted a better deal to allow the gas pipeline to be built on their territory.
