I just happened across NASA TV - part of the University of Washington broadcast. |

It seems to be a piece put together showing aspects of getting all the pieces in place for a shuttle launch. It showed some footage of Mark Kelly all decked out in flight gear, getting strapped in, awesome footage of the production facility (HUGE American flag on the wall, gave me chills :patriot:), transporting the equipment to the pad, stuff like that.
It was humbling, watching how great this country can be and what we've achieved in the past, and sad that nobody seems to care anymore. NASA's budget being slashed, and I remember hearing a former astronaut say that we, the public, became bored with moon walks and space exploration.
Isn't that sad? We have so much potential if we just keep growing and expanding, but we're just focused on the right here right now fighting amongst ourselves. :(

the wealthy and their corporate veils are reaching stellar heights in power and finance. Space exploration pales in comparison, these days.
Of course, on the brink of Peak Everything, the growth/expansion model is unsustainable and they are fully aware of that. So, they grow, we contract. It's a simple and logical equation. Few are catching on, so far.
