Dear Mr. President, You say your massive missile attack there prevented "a massacre" but in the weeks before, did you attempt to peacefully mediate the situation?

If not preventing a war, might a mediation have set a cease fire while those involved spoke with one another instead of killing each other? Instead, after the weeks passed and the fighting continued, you said you could not wait one more day to attack or a massacre would have begun.

But what affect will the U.S. and allied missiles have on the men, women and children there? And what affect will the fighting between the Gadhafi forces and the rebels have on them?

Who authorized you to launch that attack? Not the U.S. Constitution for only Congress can declare war, as you eloquently stated in 2007 in criticism of the wars President Bush launched.

How will you pay for the Libyan War? Will you put it on our nation's credit card as you and President Bush have done with the Iraq and Afghan Wars? The U.S. economy is struggling and as you previously stated, the U.S is deeply in debt and its deficits are mounting. Millions of Americans are suffering and layoffs are growing. Won't the cost of this war make it worse?

Which raises the questions, what war costs do you project and how long do you envision the war lasting?

You said you want to remove Col. Gadhafi from power. But what happens if he remains? How will the U.S. deal with Mr. Gadhafi? What if he falls, who takes power then? You must have thought these issues through before launching a military attack and your answers to all of these questions would be very much appreciated for you still report to the American people and our opinions matter.
