Comcast to staff: Stop us being named worst company

Comcast to staff: Stop us being named worst company

It seems that someone at Comcast wasn't happy that last year the company won (or lost) the Consumerist's competition. So this year, discovering that the Consumerist's readers had nominated it again, they sent a memo out to staff, asking them to vote.

This memo read, in part: "We encourage you to participate in this poll and to vote with your heart to tell America that we are proud of our company. Participation is purely voluntary."

You already know this isn't going to have a happy ending, don't you?

The memo then encouraged employees to vote "from the office and at home on your personal computers and laptops. You can also vote via the Web browser on your cell phones, iPads, tablets, and other Web-enabled wireless devices."

12. But it might cost money
Better to ask employees on their free time to cheat on a poll.

8. My cable is out - started
calling comcast at 10A.M. Recording comes on that they know it's out in my area and will be fixed in an hour. It is now almost 8 P.M. - same recording. Still no service.

10. That is why I changed from Comcast internet to Verizon DSL
I have Comcast cable (captive customer in Alexandria, VA,) and when the cable was out so was my internet! We can't get FIOS in Alexandria, VA, due to Comcast's hold on the City Council. So now when the Comcast cable TV is out, I still have Verizon DSL internet, Thank Goodness!

11. When my cable goes out, it affects my Internet,
phone and TV service, but Comcast usually has it fixed within an hour. I have never experienced any bad service. And I am in Georgia where some would expect slow service. I really have no complaints about Comcast except when my bill is too high and I call and bitch and they adjust the bill.
