Wisconsin GOP senator boasts: We have broken the power of unions
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/03/29/wisconsin-gop-senator-boasts-we-have-broken-the-power-of-unions/

By Eric W. Dolan
Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 -- 6:09 pm

Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald bragged that Republicans had busted government employee unions "once and for all" in a fundraising letter sent to his supporters.

In contrast to his earlier rhetoric, which focused on the need to curb public employees union rights to balance the state budget, Fitzgerald said the unions have "ruined California and Illinois, but they're not going to ruin Wisconsin."

"That is because Republicans faced down Big Labor's bully tactics and a Democratic walk-out in the state Senate to break the power of unions like WEAC and AFSCME once and for all," he continued.

4. "Once and for all"?
Edited on Tue Mar-29-11 07:28 PM by Marr
That's pretty sickening, un-American, and, I think, overly optimistic on his part. This was obviously about breaking the monetary support for the opposition party with law, and setting up his own party for long-term rule.

I hope this shit is reversed quickly and the Republicans suffer a big backlash.

8. Once? Perhaps. "For all?" Not necessarily!!!!
Fitzgerald will need to reconsider, and ultimately eat his words, once he and his cohorts are given their walking papers in the not-too-distant future. They still haven't taken away the right to vote, even though that too is being attempted in some parts of the country.

18. The conservanazis are trying hard to block poor and minority voters from the polls.
That's a big issue for the Wisconsin conservanazis. The Attorney General ran the first time claiming to put an end to "voter fraud". I think they may have found one or two incidents where people voted when they shouldn't have. His other issue was the he was going to investigate the "corrupt" Governor Dole's administation, which was another f*cking conservanazi lie.

An example needs to be made in Wisconsin. Educate and register voters. The conservanazis want an ID system that will discourage the poor, the minorities and the elderly from voting. The conservanazis are going to use every trick they can to discourage voting for Democrats because they want a one party state. With their conservanazi propaganda blairing 24/7, attacking the Dems, unions and minorities, it's going to be hell in Wisconsin.
