Arguments, Price Tag Aside, Tax Compromise Extremely Popular
Four polls have been done on the Obama/GOP Tax Cut Compromise. The results are pretty clear:

Gallup: 66% in favor
Rasmussen: 56% in favor
ABC News/WaPo: 69% in favor
Pew: 60% in favor

The interesting thing about the Pew and ABC News numbers are that people understand that it's going to add almost $900 billion to the deficit, but they support it anyway. This just reinforces the lesson that the GOP seemingly did NOT learn from the midterms - voters don't want to start talking deficit until the economy rebounds, and they're willing to get behind something (like the compromise) that they see as helping the economy, even if it's going to add to the deficit.

1. Yes, yes
And George W. Bush's approval rating was 91% in September 2001.

3. Gee, who wants to defy the polling results - I guess I'll change my mind.

It is getting so bad with people pushing these polls that it reminds me of the Seinfeld episode about the AIDS ribbon. "Who doesn't want to wear the ribbon!"

As has been repeatedly shown in other posts where the OP tries desperately to show that liberals are busting with joy over this deal, these poll results are not really the true story.

The fact is that millions and millions of liberals know exactly what is going on and we do not like it at all.
