Palin is not a serious candidate or leader. Her rantings are the verbal equivalent of farts.

She's a personal business enterprise, nothing more.

What approximates a "left" in the United States discusses Ms. Palin's absurd comments 10 times more than the center or the right, keeping her nonsense in the zeitgeist rather than letting it dissipate like the fart it so closely resembles.

Unless the "left" needs her to serve as a spooky, Bin Laden-like, "look what might happen!" figure to motivate the minions - it doesn't serve any purpose to discuss her farts.
