The 13th amendment forbids the ownership of any person by any other. I am a criminal, A Slave Owner. I own stock. both through my company's 401k plan and on my own. SCOTUS has ruled that coporations are people. there for my owner ship of Stock in these people is equivilant to owning slaves. I only have one question: Should I turn my self into the police? or the FBI???

Perhaps Coporations should contact the ACLU and start a class action suit. I bet every judge would have to recuse him/herself.

3. Yes, be a good citizen and do so!
That will be an incentive for others. I think the FBI would be a good start, they can set you straight on where to go if they don't accept you.

I think us thought criminals should do the same.

7. Funny, but I suspect that legally you don't own the company, you are the company
What you own, as a shareholder, is some minute fraction of the property owned by that company...

10. No, what I mean is, I think the corporation is the owners. So what you own is yourself
You are the slave, and you are the master, there's no distinction...

13. If the corporation IS the owners, what you're talking about is a pass-through entity, like a trust.
A corporation is not a trust. I don't think it's a pass through entity either. "Owners" receive dividends, not K-1 s (or K-1T s).

On the other hand, I don't think that trusts are considered people. Neitherwise LLCs, or partnerships...

No, I think the corporation is, legally, an entity in its own right... and the "owners" are like personalities inhabiting the schizophrenic decision-making legal-organ which, in the case of a corporation, is known as a "boardroom" rather than a "brain".

On the legal scale of the corporations... individuals are nothing more than hallucinatory voices which come and go. :+

14. If you propose to one of the slaves you own,
And the one you propose to accepts, they would immediately become
a free and legal person.

However you better not be planning on having children from this marriage.

15. Here's a problem......
...you only own them until it comes to the money, then, they own you! Before you get your pittance of a premium, that corporation takes out huge amounts for salaries of the "big dogs", along with the blue ribbon benefit packages they receive, like cadillac insurance plans and golden parachute retirement plans.

But, I'm sure they will agree with you that you "own" them when the lawsuits start, seeing as they will still get their salaries and the monies lost will come out of your pockets and not theirs!
