Metrorail turns 35 years old today. Happy birthday, Metro!

While the system certainly has its share of problems, we should all be able to agree that Metro greatly enriched our region, created enormous economic value especially in one-struggling downtown and suburban areas, and helped our whole region grow substantially with less traffic congestion than we would otherwise have seen. ..........more at: http://greatergreaterwashington.org/post/9831/happy-birthday-metro/

I hate to drive in DC, the metro is great for visitors and residents alike.

3. LOVE the DC Metro!

I hate driving in DC and try to avoid it if in anyway possible. The Metro is great, the trains are always clean, run smooth, quiet. It's all you can ask for in a major subway system.

4. Gets me to work and home daily; only occasionally slams one train into another

All in all, a great system.
