We have 100's of thousands losing...
... their life's savings and 10's of thousands actually dying due to this wicked privatized health care system in America.
We imprison more of our people per capita than any nation on earth.
We spend more on the military/prison corporate complex than all other countries combined.
We have corporate power that runs our government as it's plaything for profit at our expense.
We sell arms to brutal and repressive regimes like in Saudi Arabia.

Now we are suppose to get behind our President regarding Libya on the moral grounds laid out in his speech?

What a bunch of duplicitous bullshit.
Apparently the "not stand by while people suffer" thinking applies only to a select few overseas in countries where our "national interests" lie buried under the sands.

2. It's not all him however...

...the difference between his fiery and populist campaign promises and how he actually governs are stark and disgustingly divorced from each other.

4. There is no way anyone can justify to me
how they can simultaneously talk about cutting Social Security, Medicare, Head Start and so many other programs but we can always find money for weaponry and mercenaries, er, "contractors." There is no justification for that.

5. We need to show our Democratic president how to fight.
Obama has not the slightest inkling on how to fight back against the fascist RepubliCONS. All he knows is compromise and capitulation.

We need to show him how to fight back. We must protest in the streets in front of where he lives for months and months. That is the only way we are going to reach him. He is isolated and unconcerned about the people who voted him in. We must make him concerned about us.

Look what the Middle East protests have accomplished. Look what the constant protests in Wisconsin and Indiana have accomplished. Protest on the left work if they are sustained, nonviolent and done in front of elected officials.

To reach the President you must protest in front of him.

7. I am not sure what you mean
Look what the Middle East protests have accomplished

OK. The Egypt ones worked, pretty much. Lybia, Bahrain...not so much.

Look what the constant protests in Wisconsin and Indiana have accomplished.

Absolutely nothing

Protest on the left work if they are sustained, nonviolent and done in front of elected officials.

Like the Iraq War protests, and those currently taking place in Indianapolis and Madison? Wake up & smell the fascism.

8. Surprisngly, Eisenhower agreed with you:
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft
from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."

9. That quote was
displayed on the outside of the Arena where I saw "The Wall" Live. Apparently Roger Waters had some lighting gobo's of that quote made up and they projected it on different buildings on the day of the show.

They also displayed it on the Wall during the show... It was awesome.

10. While people 'with oil' suffer.
Lots of people suffering in the world, but only a few of them have oil.
