Free seeds from Seeds of Change's Sowing Millions project...srry if against rules.
You pay $4.99 shipping. You get 25 packs of a variety of seeds. Crossed posted to DU's Garden Forum but posting here for more eyes and for those who would like to grow their own. The lowest price I've seen for seeds was 20 cents a pack and they weren't organic.

My mom saw the segment on tv a little while ago, wrote down the info and ran next door to tell me. She said lettuce, eggplant and tomatoes were a few of the seeds she remembered were included.

1. Well that is nice!
I wish I had seen that before I ordered so many seeds from them. We have had great luck with their seeds. Very high germination and the packages have kept the seeds we don't use fresh enough that the germination is high year 2.

2. Good to hear MuseRider! I, too ordered seeds most weren't organic but a few heirlooms..
I ordered a couple seed sets and hope to share some of them away to a group of ladies at the Cancer Center I go to every Fri.

Of course if they can't grow their own, some of the produce goes their way too!

Great news about the 2nd year germ. rate - that fabulous!

7. If something like this is against the rules, I'm on the wrong board.
Such a bargain from SoC! I'm ordering three sets, will plant what I need and give the rest away.

9. Good for you!!!
The offer had me so hyped I couldn't wait to share and even though this is DU:GD, we do have a gardening forum that I'm never sure how many eyes actually get to see. This was just too good to not share everywhere!

21. Anyone try gardenweb.com seed exchange?
Before I found DU, my favorite forum was gardenweb.com message boards.

I am very knowledgeable about trees and shrubs, and about gardening in general. :hi: Growing trees and shrubs from seed is my specialty. Also, propagating from cuttings.

You can exchange seeds, and also, people offer seeds for only a self-addressed-stamped-bubble-envelope (SASBE). I gave away 3 different types of seeds for SASBE just last fall. There are people like myself who would rather give seeds away for SASBE, because we already have more than enough seeds.

gardenweb.com is nice because the focus is almost never on politics. I posted there quite a lot, and so I could tell that people are subtly left or subtly right. But (almost) nobody smacks it in your face. It's strictly about gardening.
However, there are a lot of bible-thumpers. But that is to be expected in the USA, right?

Check it out. It's really rewarding.

24. Their address form wouldn't accept my address as valid.
Said my street didn't exist. So it sounds good, but ultimately, it's bullshit as far as I'm concerned.

25. Thank you so much!
We just recieved our SeedSavers order, but I've decided to take this offer up for future planting and sharing.

When certified organic seeds are going for $2.49 and up, this is one hell of a deal.

Thanks for posting!
