Alvin Greene To Run For South Carolina House
Edited on Mon Dec-27-10 05:25 PM by Tx4obama
Losing South Carolina Senate candidate Alvin Greene still has political ambitions. He paid the $165 filing fee to run in a special election for the 64th District seat made vacant earlier this month by the death of Democrat Cathy Harvin. Harvin died at age 56 from breast cancer.

Cal Land is chairman of the Clarendon County Democratic Party and said Greene entered the race five minutes after the filing period opened.

Greene said Monday he would wait to see who else filed before commenting on the race.

A primary will take place on February 15 and a special election on April 5.

p.s. Greene is going to be a busy bee - he has also recently stated that he is going to run for president in the 2012 election.
