The Milwaukee Urinal / Sentinel reports on damage to the Capitol
Edited on Thu Mar-31-11 05:19 AM by Scuba
Well the local fish wrapper did another piece on the $7.5 Million claim of damages that Mike Huebsch made in court. Seems the entire case was built on a single scrap of paper with some handwritten notes. Walker's administration clearly called out for lying, in court no less.

Noteworthy, funny and just plain curios are some of the blog comments. A sampler:

from exconservative: One thing they are is consistent...

They lied about the damage caused by the protesters.

The claims of an immediate "crisis" for which the only possible solution was
this extremist bill was a lie.

Walker lied when claiming he believed this was modest (he called it
"dropping the bomb" when talking to fake-Koch).

from ochank: Geez Wally another lie from the repubs. They should start their own tv show and call it "Lie along With Scooter." It could be sponsored by the Burlington Liars Club, of which Scooter and the Fitzgoons are dishonorary members. The repubs have lost all respect and credibility with voters. Recall all of these bums!

from an Al fan: Every time I read something else about this government it makes me smile. All the righties are steaming inside because their goofball governor is making nothing but a mess of things. It just brings a smile to my face.

from boatnbob: Lies and more lies from the lying liars. Republicans don't know when to shut up. What's next Scotty? Phone call from Ronald Reagan?

from Atomicisback: To summarize, Governor Ghadafi has to date killed:

$810 million in construction jobs related to rail
$500+ million in wind development
Total investment lost: Over $1.3 billion

Meanwhile he:
Gave big businesses $130 million in tax breaks
Violated court orders...twice!
Demonized teachers, state, & municipal employees
Acted to remove tens of thousands from having the ability to receive medical care
Wants to place the state in violation of federal clean water standards
Wants to effectively cancel recycling programs in the state
Was taped accepting illegal bribes
Admitted that he hears voices which guide his decision making process

And been caught in numerous lies including:
A budget that INCREASES spending, contrary to his statements
E-mail from residents were AGAINST his bill while he was stating they were in favor
Stating his bill would leave collective bargaining "largely intact"
That debt refinancing had a hard date that had to be met
That he wouldn't "kick the can down the road" anymore

How anyone could defend his actions, much less profess to be proud of them, is absolutely shameful.

and finally, from DrPhibes: So IOW the single piece of notebook paper had a WAG on it. I guess I'm supposed to be slightly more impressed now that they've evolved beyond McCarthy's blank piece of paper.
