Schwarzenegger’s Cartoon Reinvention
Posted on Mar 30, 2011

Talk about building a brand: He’s played an action hero and a president, and now Arnold Schwarzenegger is starring in his own combination comic book and cartoon franchise, clearly the logical next step for California’s former governor. Really, Stan Lee? —KA

Deadline Hollywood:

Called The Governator, it is a version of Schwarzenegger after he has left the Governor’s office and becomes a crime fighter, Lee told EW. The Governator will run operations out of a secret high-tech crime-fighting center (aka Arnold Cave) under his house in Brentwood and will have a fleet of super vehicles and a closet full of “Super Suits” at his disposal. He will be surrounded by a gallery of sidekicks, including a 13-year-old computer whiz, and supervillains, including G.I.R.L.I.E Men, named after another Arnold-ism.

2. It take a real man to recognize when he is a Caricature of a cartoon...
and a capitalist to make money from his own cariacaturized cartoonization.

This actually made me laugh. Not enough to buy the comic, of course, but I'm laughing.

I wonder if they will arrange for him to meet Steampunk Palin, or a character I think of as Batshit Woman?

4. Oh my. I read it too quickly and thought I saw this:
"...and a closet full of “Super Sluts” at his disposal."

5. Had he been a good Governor or even a popular one
it might be interesting. Since he was massively unpopular and horrible at the job, one might call the whole idea insulting to the people of California.
