8. Yeah, pretty much. I'm familiar with Lester (and his criminal record). I just can't make heads or |
|
tails of this though. Portraying the NAACP as an elderly WHITE lady? I mean his stuff is usually bigoted and offensive but you can tell what he's trying to say. Here, I'm at a loss for words.

usually I just ignore his scribblings but I've stared at this one for a few minutes now and have no idea what the hell his intention here is.
Maybe he got into the bottle before realizing he had to meet a deadline?

The Tea Party is helping the NAACP overcome differences (presumably differences between the Tea Party and the NAACP) so they can attend a forum?
That's the best I can come up with, and it doesn't make much sense. Has there been a recent specific incident involving the Tea Party and the NAACP?

7. Now you're getting it. |

This "political cartoon" could only be made more obtuse by throwing in a Gadsden flag and perhaps the Statue of Liberty in the background shedding a tear or two. Some photoshopper really needs to get on that. I'm sure freepers look at tripe like this and think "Now THAT'S biting satire!"

a EUNUCH?" Buster Keaton.
Mom and I watched it togather. We both cracked up at that line-she was especially shocked since I had just turned 13 yo at the time.

11. You may just have it there |
|
Now all we have to do is figure out what the hell the NAACP and the teabaggers have done together to overcome their differences and we may be able to actually decipher the insane rantings of a Mike Lester toon.

15. Here, let Sarah Palin explain it |
|
I hear there’s some pretty ugly stuff right now coming out and what we predict, we always see a pattern. We’ve got some victories under the belt. Things are, things are going well, and then, then there is that public slam of us. So, we always expect what’s coming. I don’t read some of it because I know that those that are impotent and limp and gutless, and then they go on, they’re anonymous, their sources that are anonymous, and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references. You know, it just slays me because it’s so absolutely clear what the state of yellow journalism is today that they would take these anonymous sources as fact. So, when a story especially is filled with those and we know it’s bogus and we’re not going to read it.

17. OK here's what I think it means |
|
The special interest groups of the left and right have overcome there differences in that they both are headed to congress to lobby the crap out of them. The teaparty is the young "new" movement, the NAACP is the older movement. But in the end they both are equally corrupting or equal in the lobbying power in Congress. Given that the reader is likely to have a negative view of one of the two movements. My guess what's about to happen at the forum isn't a good thing. I imagine you are suppose to say see both sides, lobbying influences, special interests etc equal on both sides.

|
the street of "differences". Not sure what the busy-traffic-street of "differences" is about.
What is "The Forum"?
Maybe it means that the Teabaggers are really nice and helpful to the NAACP? The teabaggers are kindly helping the blacks not get run over in traffic, and then they will discuss it.
Makes sense.
