Book burning is, and always has been, a crime against the human mind. And the burners fear those who would read and think. After all, it's so much easier to control those who don't read and think.

5. Could be "Big Picture" kind of thinking,

on display, in public, for anyone to pick up on.

Instead of a fractious but docile populace -- fixated on American Idol, Dancing with Palin's chubby-legged daughter, etc. --
about evenly divided between unhappy Blues/Progressives and unhappy Reds/Traditionalists (each half of the populace blaming
the other For Everything)...

our Overlords probably feel most threatened by analyses of the current world situation that step outside the boundaries of
that box, just a little, by including unflattering (but truthful) commentary on Democratic Party icons.

So much of the media landscape seems like a "good cop/bad cop" kind of frame. With the roles switched (who's good, who's
not so good) depending upon your political allegiances. So if you're a faithful daily listener of right wing Hate Radio,
it's the MSM always conspiring to 'hide the truth.' And vice versa, if you're a "progressive."

With both sides virtually screaming, "look over here, don't look over there," back and forth, what we're all supposed to
be paying attention to gets rather tightly defined. It doesn't really matter which side you're on, the point is to make
sure no one is asking REALLY uncomfortable questions, completely ignoring the game on the field. The one that's being
"covered" by all the cameras.

It was a report from the Center for Media and Democracy, about who attended Americans for Prosperity summits in Wisconsin. Walker, Van Hollen, and Prosser, among others...

10. I still can't get into truthout.. Not even in the alternate links they

provided in their latest email. It really pisses me off that we can't figure out who's responsible for this.
