but the vid in the OP is not one. I guess the only reason I'm putting so much effort in this, is because it is personal. My Husband Peter made this vid in 2008 during the primary wars. He wanted to show (with a little humor) that even tho we might fight here on DU, at the end of the day we would come together and support our nominee. Youtube blocked it for two years due to the Greenday song and copyright issues. So both he and I were surprised that it was public again. I know you have not watched it or you would not still be insisting that it was a Rick Roll.

nothing to do with DU. They blocked all vids that had copyrighted songs in them unless you agreed to partner with youtube.
We have never agreed to partner so don't know why it is once again public. They blocked our wedding vid for the same reason, hubby used my favorite song when he made it for me. They shut off the sound to it.

This was one of my vids that they blocked due to copyright issues on the song by jewel. Looks like youtube has changed on how they do things and just pop on a commercial to buy the song instead of blocking the vid.
