Snooki Paid More Than Nobel Prize Winner Toni Morrison to Speak at Rutgers

She scored $32,000 to speak to students Thursday, $2,000 more than the acclaimed author is getting to deliver a commencement address.

The Rutgers University Programming Association paid Jersey Shore's Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi $32,000 Thursday to speak to students, according to NJ.com.
That's $2,000 more than the $30,000 the university is giving Nobel Prize-winning author Toni Morrison to deliver the school's commencement address in a 52,000-seat football stadium in May, the site reports.

Morrison was booked by university officials, while the Rutgers University Programming Association, a student-run committee, invited the self-described "guidette" to speak, using the mandatory student activity fees undergraduates must pay with their tuition.

During her Q&A Thursday, Snooki sat in an upholstered chair (with her feet dangling) on a bare stage and told students, "My feet can't touch the ground. Awkward!"

1. That's how it works.
All smart people should get a lobotomy. They would do much better in modern America.

2. Mandatory student fees: the pay-off university administrators
use to keep troublemakers otherwise occupied and out of their hair.

3. Well, that just dropped Rutgers more than several pegs down in my respect book.
It is beyond me why ANYONE gives a damn what that vacuous assclown has to say at all, let alone enough pay her even a penny to speak at a university.

10. There might be good and logical reasons for this
first Snooki obviouslly charges more for speaking engagemnets. the school can't be faulted if Morrison didn't request as much. Or, they were paid out of different budgets. Morrison might have been paid out of the School of Hummanities' (or what ever they call it) buget while this Snooki person was paid out of the students' recreational/entertainment fees. I think all schools collect these kinds of fees. When I went to college, way back in the late 60s, they booked Percy Sledge, he was paid quite a bit more than a speaker (can't remember his name) that spoke about poetry. They were paid out of different budgets

11. Snooki is now a professional wrestler.
Er...dunno what else to say. She gets drunk and fights in front of cameras in prop rooms that look like bars. Clearly she is more qualified to speak to young people then some egghead.

Don't make me whip out the sarcasm emo.
