He's trying to get a *better* pension for the family of a state DoT worker who was killed on the job -- instead of taking what they have away. http://www.kare11.com/news/article/917218/396/Dayton-seeks-better-pension-for-MnDOT-workers-survivors

1. I like Dayton. He doesn't have much of a personality, at least in the media
but I always liked that he donated his Senate salary to pay for busloads of Minnesota senior citizens to buy prescription meds in Canada.

2. He's not a very charismatic speaker but he's a good guy.
He is also proof that not all rich people are evil -- it's just sad that so many are not like him and can't empathize with those who have less.

6. I think he has a wonderful personality. Very deep really. Wonderful speaker.

I believe that he has a stutter also. He never ceases to amaze me.
There is one word that describes him: integrity.

10. Oh, I agree, he is really a model for other politicians and of course
other governors! I'm in Wisconsin, and on the border, so I see a lot of news from the Twin Cities. Several of my MN friends certainly voted for him, but felt badly that he did not 'come across' in the media.

Would have voted for him in a heartbeat. If you are posting from MN, you are lucky to have him! My comments are really not meant to be critical, so please accept my apologies if I offended!

4. Another good Gov.: Martin O'Malley of Maryland
In his second term with an approval rating currently at 56 percent, he was recently elected head of the Dem Governors' Assoc. I'd say he's a contender for the presidential campaign in 2016.

I'm running a poll to suggest the possibility for DU to implement a new forum: "General Discussion: Victories - Great & Small" in an effort to help boost morale.

This topic and the corresponding threads are an excellent example of this! Thanks for posting something positive :-)

13. I think my governor is the best of all: Peter Shumlin.
He's the guy trying to provide single payer, to shut down VT Yankee, to put less people in prison. This week he traveled to RI to urge that the state adopt marriage equality.
