ok, this is freakin' me out.............
Today in my various inbox's I have received an e-mail from 3 different businesses I frequent, Kroger, my Bank, and now Home Shopping Club saying someone has my info now, they are saying it's just my E-mail address. Should I believe that's all they got?

1. Call them
do not respond to emails claiming this call them directly so that you are sure it is actually them you are talking to.

4. Depends what you been up to.
If it's a credit card or rewards cards, it could be just about everything. If it was just browsing on the net, it could be just your email address.

Just put them in the spam folder.

6. I just got the same thing!
I called up the credit card (after I had changed my email address with them at once). They said they had mailed this out to a bunch of people.

Seems someone/some place got a list of email addresses for their customers but no credit card info. I was told.

Was advised to keep a close eye on the account.

Massive Breach at Epsilon Compromises Customer Lists of Major Brands http://www.securityweek.com/massive-breach-epsilon-compromises-customer-lists-major-brands

Last night we reported on a breach at marketing services provider, Epsilon, the world’s largest permission-based email marketing provider. Initially we wrote that the breach had affected Kroger, the nation's largest traditional grocery retailer.

It turns out that Kroger is only one of many customers affected by the breach at Epsilon.

Epsilon sends over 40 billion emails annually and counts over 2,500 clients, including 7 of the Fortune 10 to build and host their customer databases.

SecurityWeek has been able to confirm that the customer names and email addresses, and in a few cases other pieces of information, were compromised at several major brands including the following:

• TiVo

• Marriott Rewards

• Ritz-Carlton Rewards

• US Bank

• JPMorgan Chase

• Capital One

• Citi

• McKinsey & Company

• New York & Company

• Brookstone

• Kroger

• Walgreens (Again!)

14. I got the same thing from my bank.
It sounds like the compromised info was just the email address and general information which could in turn be used for phishing scams.

The company that got hit was a third party marketer so I don't think they would have access to things like your SS number.

15. 1st email I ever received from Ralphs (Kroger)!!!
They say only your name and email was stolen but what about the attached record of purchases? Isn't it a breach of privacy to be able to see how many bottle of whisky or adult diapers someone purchased? Eh?
