Lack of Serious candidates? Nah....
It was announced this week that the first Republican presidential primary debate—scheduled to take place May 2nd at the Ronald Reagan library—has been postponed due to a lack of serious candidates...

Comedy...

1. It will be sponsored instead by Ringling Bros
All Republican presidential candidates will arrive together in one tiny little car. :D

2. It is really amazing what weak candidates the republicans have put forward.
Most of them are idiotic airheaded clowns, with a few being dull-as-dishwater zeroes who make no impression whatsoever when they enter a room. (Looking at you, Tim-P or whatever it is.)

3. They don't need another candidate
They can just run Reagan -- the one of myth and legend

as opposed to the Deficit Creating, Tax Raising, Terrorist Negotiating, Compromising Cut-and-Runner that actually sat in the Oval Office for eight years

5. Trying to find a sane GOP candidate takes time.
So far they've offered nothing but misfits.

6. Since when has sanity been a requirement?

7. I would guess they're really planning on one of the union-bashing governors
Let the circus go on until everyone is sick of it and then whip out Christie or whoever else is around that seems marginally sane and that they can present as the sensible alternative.

Wait and see. So far, it's all stage management -- but things will start to shift this summer.

8. Nobody cares in the summer

Fall.

Quick run up to Iowa and NH in a media storm and, boom, consensus

I want to know what the GOP candidate is going to do from, say, April to November.

McCain did nothing for months but slowly melt.
