Texas House passes bill dictating colleges promote heterosexuality
Edited on Mon Apr-04-11 06:13 PM by FreeState
I'm guessing they didnt think this one through. I know when I was in college the GLBT group got minimal fundings. Now under this law they would get a hell of a lot more if the funds have to be matched! Think of all the dances, parties, family promotion groups that already receive funding from the schools...

I also love how gay groups promote sexual practice, but when its heterosexuals its family values!

While many members in the chamber cracked jokes and guffawed, the amendment's author, Rep. Wayne Christian, said the University of Texas, Texas A&M and "some other schools" have centers promoting "alternative sexual practices."

"I'm not treading on their rights to that, to teach alternative sexual behavior," said Christian, R-Center (right). But he said they must match it, dollar for dollar, with advocating heterosexual, "traditional values."

Christian's amendment speaks of any center "for students focused on gay, lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, transsexual, transgender, gender questioning, or other gender identity issues."

5. So if we just don't teach gay sex, there won't be any?
Bob: Joe, I- I- I have something to confess to you.

Joe: What do you mean?

Bob: Joe, I love you.

Joe: Bob, I thought I was the only one of us that felt that way. I love you too!

<They kiss passionately, stagger off to the bedroom and strip each other's clothes off>

Bob: <panting> Now what?

Joe: <in dawning horror>I don't know! I thought YOU knew!

6. GLBTQ groups exist to promote equality and give a voice to a minority population.

Heterosexuals are not in the minority. Neither are they persecuted. They need their own college group like television needs it's own white power channel.

Fucking morons.

9. They never think anything through
Because they automatically assume everyone thinks just like them, so there's no explaining why Jesus is awesome or why something is sinful. I've been wondering if the bill could be used to promote things like child prostitution or the joy of bestiality, since calling heterosexuality "traditional values" means that they're calling homosexuality non-traditional, that it isn't normal, that it's perverted, etc.

If Jon Stewart comments on this story and doesn't mention "NAMBLA," I'll be very, very sad.
