Wife of 'idiot cop' says shame on Ohio Gov. Kasich

The wife of the Columbus police officer referred to by Gov. John Kasich as an "idiot cop" emailed the governor to voice her disgust when news of the insult broke.

Sherri Barrett, wife of Officer Robert Barrett, wrote in an email to Kasich on Feb. 16 that she was "disgusted that you would so commonly refer to an officer of the law who is sworn to protect your citizens of the state you now oversee."

We're talking about 1 million people here who used to be reliably Republican. This would be a huge blow to the Republicans, not just in terms of votes but in terms of morale. We need to play our cards right on this one.
