Bring Someone In
When I make a left turn at a busy intersection, I creep forward while waiting to turn, in an effort to make it possible for the person behind me, also, to make the turn. Some people waiting to turn left, sit at the light, waiting for the oncoming traffic to clear before entering the intersection to turn left. This drives me nuts. I think that, in life, it is important to bring along the person behind us. So, in this case, today, how can we "bring someone in"? It is voting day in Wisconsin. This is the day we have been waiting for and working for, hoping that everyone in Wisconsin will step up and vote, and will persuade others, drive Democrats, rework schedules, do what is necessary to get decent people in office. So, how are YOU "bringing people in" today???? And how can we help the great state of Wisconsin elect Kloppenburg, especially?? :loveya:

6. In California, I learned to pull into the intersection and wait for my time to turn left.
Back this side of the Sierras, I'm usually the only one doing it.

7. if you dont pull up the second the light goes green in chicago
we are on the horn until you move out into the intersection. Perhaps this is why i got odd looks for doing the same thing in Cheyenne Wyoming.

9. Yeah, that's a RED state;
every man for himself. Why think about the poor guy behind you stuck at the red light for the next five minutes??

10. i lived in the very "red" suburbs of chicago
and most people pull up into the intersection the second it goes green, it is probably more of a rural, urban thing having to do with the number of traffic lights we will see in a given day.

11. The wonderful thing about our state is center turn lanes.
You pull into the wide center lane, stop, wait for oncoming cars to pass, turn.
No holding up the cars in the right lane, no waiting for lights, no having to wait until you get to the intersection.
Lovely invention.
You CAN also turn at a light at an intersection if you happen to be going that way, but lots of people go thru the light, turn left into the wide center lane, then U ball so they do not have to wait for the light.
Works great in areas where the traffic is not wall to wall cars.
