MO Rebublicans are refusing to accept federal aid for unemployment AND for schools

Last week they refused to accept federal aid to extend unemployment benefits for long term unemployed.

The really dumb thing is this money will just go to another state, it's not like they are preventing the feds from spending it.

Please, someone tell me how this helps our economy?

3. Where are you getting this?

I just did some tracking on the bill, HB 15, and found that it actually passed in the House, and it is now in the Senate. I did a search for news regarding the rejection of this money and found nothing as well. If you have a link to this, stating that it has been rejected, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

But they're in the minority even in their own party so they probably won't be able to block this indefinitely.

But it was, and is, pretty much a given that this is just the state 'Pugs coddling four of the ultra right wing idiots, and that this bill is going to pass. It is just a matter of time right now.

I'm working nights and haven't been able to keep up as well, and saw the headline and panicked, thinking that the Senate had gone collectively nuts.
