The Fiesta Bowl is in question
If Az loses the Fiesta Bowl - Az is in big trouble. The Fiesta Bowl brings money to this state.

1. If our economy is hanging on a football game, we're already in trouble.
Which, of course, we are.

6. Well, fiesta means 'party.'
I guess the organizers thought it meant 'Republican Party.'

8. For a long time, I have had this plan...
I could take a half-dozen guys and shut down collegiate bowl games, the NFL Playoffs and the Super Bowl (and maybe Xmas).

That would raise total heck with the US economy and it would be so easy.

But that was when I was young and wild. Now I am just old and tired.

3. AZ has bigger problems than the Fester Bowl.
And, of course, the Fester Bowl has bigger problems than football.

9. Look up MLK Day and how Az got the Super Bowl
you can look it up

Arizona (America's South Africa) voted down MLK Day repeatedly......then

The NFLPA (70% African-American players in the NFL) said "MLK Day or no Super Bowl" Arizona got it on a special referendum and it passed.

11. That made a tremendous difference, although entertainer boycotts
got everything rolling.

You mess with tourism here and you get kicked where it hurts the most. citizens don't matter as much as tourists.

12. Please get plenty of sleep and take care of yourself.
My state will be okay--well as much as it is now.

Faint promise, I know, but it's all I got.
