Parole granted for one of three Chowchilla bus kidnappers

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Richard Allen Schoenfeld, one of three people convicted of kidnapping dozens of children on board a chowchilla school bus, was granted parole Tuesday. Schoenfeld will be released from prison on November 13, 2021.

In July 1976, the three men took the bus and put 26 children and bus driver in a moving van and buried them in a bay area gravel pit. The kids and driver had to dig their way out.
