If the GOP is truly interested in less government,
would they not be in favor of the Government shutting down?

Seems to me that would certainly be to their liking as there would be less operating government both for which to pay and to intrude into our lives.

2. No, they are not really interested in 'less' government
only shifting government regulation and oversight away from their cronies. Beyond that, they LOVE big government.

3. Yes, it serves their agenda
Anything that makes government look useless and incompetent serves their agenda.

Shutting down government because Congress can't get its budget act together does just that, at least as far as their supporters are concerned.

And that's the only people they care about.

4. Bush added more government jobs than the jobs he outsourced
to the far east. I guess the Repubs don't remember when they all voted for everything Bush wanted for 8 years. Things like der Department of Der Homeland Security. They forget the facts and talk out their ass 24/7...A war in Iraq that never needed to have been waged. Several tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans while our soldiers were already engaged in two theaters of war and the cost of that was soaring to the tune of trillions. Where was their worry about the deficit then?
