I'm sad...
If there is a government shutdown, they will have to cancel the Cherry Blossom Parade. I'm not joking, it's kind of the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

I haven't worked in over a year. My dear partner is doing well and keeping us afloat, successful even, but I feel so useless. There are SERIOUS problems in this country, SERIOUS. And what is happening? The repugs are taking away women's rights and the rights of working people all over the place and all this infighting is only making them stronger.

I feel powerless and in adequate. Not having a job is hard. So something little like a Cherry Blossom parade means a great deal to me. It also makes me sad because this was a great opportunity to help the people of Japan and now it's going to go away for no good reason at all.

I'm mad at both sides, more mad at repugs because they are the catalyst, but I just wish these idiots would act like human beings-or even start acting like ants, or seals, or butterflies, or any other animal that works collectively for the greater good. We work for power and money and I just hate it.

2. At least direct your anger where it belongs.
The Republicons are being obstinate for a purpose. They want Obama to fail at any cost. That is the long and the short of it. They will not come to an agreement because they do not perceive that an agreement will act in their political interests. Short of caving in to every single one of their demands, there is nothing the Democrats can do. And I suspect that once they did cave in, there would be another hurdle to jump. It's a power game as far as the Cons are concerned. I hope they reap the whirlwind.

3. The museums will be closed too!...
If there are going to be 800k people unemployed in this city what are they gonna do? I don't mean this as a joke. It sucks.
