Republicans are chameleons
They masquerade as anything that will potentially get them elected. They say what needs to be said, and do what needs to be done.

Go back in history as far as you like, and you will see them pretending to be what they are not.

When they get elected, there is always a disconnect though, because their actions tell us that they always muck up the works.

Clever wordsmiths that they are though, they still manage to convince some of the people (far too many) that it's never really their fault , and they immediately start pretending again to be what they are not.

Their chameleon talents keep getting them elected ...and even to majority status, because enough people keep on thinking they are what they pretend to be.

In an odd twist, they often DO tell us what they are, but even then enough people still see that chameleon, and not the Komodo dragon they really are..

We know they want to kill the New Deal (and HAVE wanted to ever since the ink was still wet on the signature)..

We know they want to kill medicare and medicaid and public schooling, and unions and health care that is not owned & operated by their Insurance company buddies.

We know they want do away with regulations, and rules & even laws they don't like.

What laws are those?

They are laws that give aid, justice & comfort to people who do not vote for them..

Every time republicans take over, they go back to their regular old bag of tricks:

abortion, gays, god, guns, and of course tax cuts for the rich.

The chameleon campaigns as a job-creator...a conciliator...a budget balancer...a family values chameleon who will eat all the nasty bugs you hate, and will be your little buddy.

Once in office, the Komodo appears and starts thrashing around, breaking everything in sight and gnawing on every one within range.. the bite is toxic, and although it may not kill you instantly, the damage is done, and left untreated there is a lethal consequence ahead.
