In fact I would vote for her over Obama, but I doubt she would ever challenge him. She could throw her hat in the ring for 2016 though. She is special.

23. Assuming the repubs....
did not have enough votes to fillubuster all the time....if they do, she will have to act like an adult (like Obama) and give some to get alot....or else nothing will ever get done....why does anyone think that if the dems had anyone else as president the repubs would put down their guns and stop obstructing progress?

26. Her being gay wouldn't stop her from being President...
necessarily. After all, lots of people said the same about Obama being browner than the average white person, and he won by quite a bit.

45. But at least he has
the proper anatomy with which to be able to think, and he is in an "opposite marriage". There is no way the country is will elect a lesbian president. Not yet, anyway. There are still too many misogynist, homophobic bigots. I do think it will happen some day, though.

50. I think you'd be surprised...
I don't really think there are that many more homophobic bigots than racist bigots. Bigots usually cover a lot of bases. In other words, I can't see that many people voting for Obama but not a lesbian who held all the same positions.

Not to mention, and this is true, lesbians are a lot less controversial than gay men in the US. Hell, they're even celebrated by otherwise homophobic men.

I have to admit, I never thougth I would see a person of color in the White House in my time, but I just can't see the nation going to this point, yet. Maybe in another 20 or 30 years.

13. I wish
Honestly, I really do wish she would be. She'd get my vote. I don't agree with everything she says - I'm not one of her biggest fans. But I like her and respect her and think she has a first rate mind and a lot of intelligent things to say.

I don't think she could pull it off though. Too much hate on the right. Then again - I wasn't sure Obama could ever be elected in a Country that still struggles a great deal with racism.

14. No -- But I would love to see her take Katie Couric's job or replace Oprah
I don't think she'd have a snowball's chance of being President (although maybe senator from Massachusetts).

But I would love to see her become more influential and visible in the MSM. She's great at laying things out in a progressive way, without being threatening or alienating.

20. This must be a joke.
Besides the fact that she said she doesn't want to run for office, she doesn't have an ounce of governing experience.

And then there's the fact that you think you agree with her now. Wait till she takes positions on difficult issues. You won't agree with everything.
