Never thought I would say this, but at my age most likely I won't |

live out the next ten years. Enjoy good health right now but I can't afford good medical coverage. The thought of not being around much longer to see the demise flesh out appeals to me. I've seen a wonderful nation go down the toilet and it saddens me. I just feel so sad for the younger people, they deserve so much better.

Doctors are something to avoid as are dentists. Our best friend is a dentist, but we only meet socially. But my wife gets incredible care so far due to a disability and her being on Medicare.

8. Medicare is equivalent to a chicken leg in a large bucket. It's useless |
|
if you have serious issues and the additional insurance you need is very, very expensive. I believe that repub idiot mentioned that I would have the same coverage as congress only pay way more...

I feel sad that the young will have to deal with all this, and that we in our lifetime could not stop the destruction of our nation and the environment. But once you open the Pandora's box and let out greed it is difficult to stop.

Rigged elections (thanks Diebold!) and voter disenfranchisement make a mockery of our democracy. Soon, there'll be only 1 Party that dictates to the bottom 98% their terms for our existence.
I don't blame the Republican Party....I blame the people that vote for Republicans and enable them to do this. When the morons finally wake up, it won't matter anymore. It will be a fait acoompli.

16. So, no Democrat has anything whatsoever to do with all of this? |
|
Really?

11. Well I'm not young (60 later this year)........ |

and so I probably don't have a lot of time left, but I sure want to go out making it count. OTOH, my gene pool is pretty strong (grandmother lived to be 102 and SEVERAL 80s/90s on the other side), so I might be as much of a thorn in the side of the capitalists as I can for a while yet.
Either way, I'm committed. This is the struggle of my old age, just like the Vietnam War and civil rights was the struggle of my youth.

She had a good run, but 200+ years is about all you can ask for before corruption crumbles it from within. Fuck it.

my coverage is ending soon and the only option is ER care when things get life threatening. Our only hospital is brutal in their collection methods so I will avoid them at all costs. I am sorry that this country has sunk so far.
