1. Hey, nice to know there are progressives in San Antone! |
|
Not long ago, I severed contact with a far-right relative who lives there (her choice to sever, not mine) when I told her she really had to stop with the ugly hate Obama, hate Hispanics, hate progressives e-mails she insisted on forwarding me. No matter how I countered her "diatribes" with fact, seemed like she just couldn't help herself. Finally told her I love her a lot, but--enough was enough. Left the door open to communication regarding family updates, etc., but guess I stepped over the line as far as she was concerned. Sad, and especially so since I never did get down her way to visit the River Walk, Alamo, attend the Fiesta and see all the other amazing sights in SA. Anyway, enjoy the Party enough for me!
Peace and blessings.

3. Next to Austin, San Antonio is the most beautiful and fun city in Texas. |
|
Does have a lot of Progressives, also. But I would recommend not going during FIESTA unless you love huge crowds! Do go downtown, take a river ride, drink 'rita's, eat good Mexican food, go to the Alamo and the other Missions, shop, eat dinner at the top of the Hemisphere Tower.

4. Thanks so much for info about all the great places to be down your way. |
|
Maybe I'll get there some day, but sadly, I suspect I won't count on bunking with my family member. But I'm thinking there's lots of great lodging there, too! A few years ago, visiting another relative in Dallas, we had dinner atop Reunion Tower. Great experience, and Hemisphere Tower sounds equally appealing. My mom was Dallas born and raised (well, Denison actually), so the Texas roots run deep! Have heard many good things about Austin, as well!
Thanks and blessings.
