these things are fundamental to democracy in my opinion. Especially National Parks, they are like baseball, something fundamentally American and democratic.

First of all, Planned Parenthood isn't a government agency. It gets about 5% of its funding from the government. Not that that is not significant, and not that it is not a critical organization.

Second, your garbage collection does not depend on federal funds. It is local. And you'd be damned sorry if it didn't get picked up once a week. Rats, disease, and a terrible stench would ensue.

Museums get almost nothing from the government, and the National Endowment for the Arts has been reduced to a mere pittance in the budget. You don't want to get rid of museums.

Libraries? Don't even go there. Millions of people would not even have access to a computer to find the address of their Planned Parenthood Clinic if public librairies did not exist.

Why must you always denigrate and propose taking money away from one thing just to express your support for another?
