for the 17 $205.50 citations that have been issued for holding signs on the first floor of the rotunda, instead of the ground floor, as has been directed by Walker's lapdog Mike Huebsch (Sec of Dept of Admin).

If you're in Madison, join us at 10:00 for the court appearances, and then we'll march up to our Capitol to take our signs up to the first floor of the rotunda.

A few weeks ago, Walker and Huebsch thought that nobody would notice if their First Amendment rights were being trampled - there's so much else going on, after all, who would pay attention to a couple of tickets issued to a disabled kid on a segway and a disabled vet? Some of us are a little sensitive about our constitutional rights, however, so we've been there absolutely every day since then, with our signs on the first floor of the rotunda. From what we can tell, the Dept finally stopped forcing the cops to issue tickets after the publicity surrounding the citation that was issued when two kids were holding a sign.

So this morning is just the initial court appearance to enter pleas. Then these will move forward to court. This is just dealing with the tickets themselves. A separate First Amendment lawsuit against the State Officials has been commenced - though not filed yet.
